Longboat Key Pool & Spa
Longboat Key · 2024
A tired 1980s kidney pool was replaced with a rectangular saltwater pool, raised spa, sun shelf and a travertine deck that runs seamlessly into the lanai.
The brief
Replace a leaking pool with something that looks like it was always part of the house, and make the lanai a real outdoor living room.
What we built
- Full demolition and new shotcrete shell, 16 x 36 feet
- Raised spa with a spillover edge and a 12-inch sun shelf
- Variable-speed pump, salt chlorination and LED lighting on app control
- Travertine pavers across the deck and lanai, all on a compacted base
- New screen enclosure with a clear-view panel toward the bay
