Lakewood Ranch Kitchen Transformation
Lakewood Ranch · 2025
A closed 1998 kitchen became the center of the house: a bearing wall removed, a 12-foot island, rift-cut white oak and a scullery hidden behind the range wall.
The brief
A family of five who cook every night wanted a kitchen that could host thirty on a holiday without looking like a commercial galley the rest of the year.
What we built
- Removed a 22-foot bearing wall and replaced it with a flush steel beam
- Custom rift-cut white oak cabinetry with a quartzite island
- Dedicated scullery with a second dishwasher and prep sink
- Relocated plumbing and gas for the new range wall
- New engineered white oak flooring across the main level
